Findd's history

Findd was founded in 2016 by Tom Loveland and Ryan Johnson, two friends that had met each other at Xactware, a company originally founded by Tom’s family members. Xactware is the global leader in complex construction estimation software, which was sold to Verisk (NASDAQ: VRSK) in 2006.

According to Deloitte, “Frontline workers have historically been underserved regarding digital tools and solutions, exposing the inequity of experience across the workforce. Only 23% of frontline workers believe they have access to the technology they need to be productive.”

TOM LOVELAND

FOUNDER, PRESIDENT, & CHAIRMAN

Tom Loveland is the innovative mind behind our talent-unique platform.  He began his career at Xactware, a company founded by family members. Xactware is the global leader in complex construction estimation software, including desktop, mobile, and cloud solutions, which was old to Verisk (NASDAQ: VRSK) in 2006.

Today, 22 of the top 25 property insurance companies in the U.S. and 10 of the top 10 Canadian insurers use Xactware’s patented plan-sketching solution for every phase of a building’s life: from remodeling to totally replacing a structure; determining the cost of rebuilding a large, complex building to preserving and repairing a home.

In 2008, Tom left Verisk to start his first company, IO Development, a custom development shop that helped companies build everything from corporate websites and intranets to customer internal software applications.

In 2011, Tom started FotoPunch, an innovative biometric time and attendance software company, which he sold two years later to Asure Software (NASDAQ: ASUR). After a two-year, disappointing stint at Asure, Tom bought his IP back from Asure, to start Findd.

A computer programmer turned entrepreneur, Tom has built successful workforce management software and services companies over the last 12 years. He is more than just a technologist, skilled in Enterprise Software, Sales, E-commerce, Entrepreneurship, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). 

Tom has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University. He is fluent in English and Cantonese, and is married with 3 children, and lives in the Provo, Utah area.

RYAN JOHNSON

FOUNDER, CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, AND DIRECTOR

Ryan Johnson is the business and operations co-founder of Findd. He brings over 20 years of successful product management and development leadership and strategic operations experience to Findd. Like his co-founder, Tom Loveland, he began his career at Xactware, the global leader in complex construction estimation software, including desktop, mobile, and cloud solutions. Xactware is now part of Verisk -(NASDAQ: VRSK).

Over his 16-year career at Verisk, Ryan held roles of increasing responsibility in development operations, system engineering, strategic account management, and global expansion. In 2012, Ryan was named Assistant Vice President, providing strategic and operational oversight of Verisk’s flagship product Xactimate, responsible for $100M in recurring revenue, customer relationships and directly leading 70+ developers and QA engineers. Ryan was also responsible for products worldwide, leading Verisk estimation expansion to French Canada, Europe, and Australia.

In 2015, Ryan joined Asure Software as Global Vice President, Product Management, responsible for product strategy and product management for all of Asure’s software solutions.

In 2016, Ryan co-founded Findd, where he remains in charge of all business and strategic operations for the company: from sales to customer service and support, to human resources, finance and legal.

Ryan has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Utah Valley University, and a Global Executive MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. He is fluent in English and Portuguese and is married with 4 children, and lives in the Provo, Utah area.

DAN WHITE

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Dan White is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of driving high-growth business outcomes through market disruption, innovative solutions, intimate client and partner relationships, and sound strategy. Mr. White has over 30 years of experience in executive leadership, strategy, sales and sales management, alliances and partnership, operations, product marketing and management, marketing, and software development in emerging growth businesses.  He is highly skilled in solution sales, especially to C-level executives in Global 1000 companies, particularly in BPO and cloud-based solutions, and Healthcare Workforce Solutions.

Mr. White was President of Strategic Workforce Solutions at AMN Healthcare, where he was responsible for the go-to-market activities for AMN, including sales, solution design, implementation, partner strategy and engagement and ongoing program management for the company’s largest and most strategic clients.  He reshaped the way AMN Healthcare delivers its suite of workforce solutions to a diverse client base, including the industry-leading Managed Services Programs (MSP), Vendor Management Systems (VMS), and open marketplace for healthcare.  Workforce Solutions grew 10X in seven and a half years under Mr. White’s leadership and represented over 55% of overall AMN revenue when he departed in 2021.

For most of his career, Mr. White has been passionate about helping organizations improve their employee experience by aligning their business and workforce strategies using advanced digital innovation. He received a BBA in Accounting from the University of San Diego in 1985.  He is married with two children, and resides in Newport Beach, California.
